Today's news email had quite a lot of advertising in it. I'd never noticed it being that bad before.

I remember the good old days when LJ used to promise that they wouldn't sneak in any unwanted advertisement or just generally do things to annoy it's account holders. Boy, have times changed!

Yeah, it really has changed, hasn't it? I mean, I've been there since 2005, under various account names, and while things have gotten better in some cases they've gotten worse in others. It still fulfills its basic purpose, but... the feel is gone.
